About the Foundation
The Foundation of Stimulation and Therapy Tomatis (FUNDET) was formed with the goal to help the children of Panama without economic means to experience psychological improvements: increased self-esteem, motivation and energy level, mental clarity and sense of wellbeing. Achieving a level of these things will help them to become adults who succeed and experience fulfilled lives without crime, violence, and emotional problems. FUNDET plans on achieving this through offering a listening therapy called The Tomatis Method.
FUNDET was started by Eve Wiznitzer, an American living in Panama over 35 years. She and her Panamanian husband Leo, have a son with Autism. They learned about The Tomatis Method when looking for therapies to help their son. They were so happy with the success of the program and impressed with the variety of disorders that can be helped, they decided to open the first and only Tomatis center in Panama.
Below is a video starring Eve's son Alex who is now 30 yrs old, lives on his own in the United States and is bi-lingual. The Wiznitzers attribute this success to hard work and The Tomatis Method.
Scholarships
FUNDET offers several programs to adults and children. From the donations we receive for providing the therapy to patients with the economic means to pay and through fund raising, we are able to offer scholarships for the therapy to Panamanian children who would not otherwise have the opportunity to receive help with their disorders.
To apply for the scholarship programs, please contact the center and ask about our scholarship programs.
